Hammer

How the "Hammer" method enables you to work effectively

Never start your day until you have completed it on paper. - Jim Rohn

Dear friends,

I should...

- Tidy up my filing system

- Answer my unfinished mails

- Sorting the documents ...

Most of us push unfinished business ahead of us like a ship pushes a bow wave.

Can I ask you: how long have you had this in the back of your mind?

If it's been longer than a day, you're not alone. Many people carry unfinished business around with them for weeks, months or years.

It burdens us. And it costs time. Studies estimate that 20 - 50% of our productive time is wasted searching for documents or ineffective procedures. Searching is not relaxing - it often takes more energy than normal work.

When we are better structured and focussed, we not only work more effectively, we are less exhausted at the end of the day and still have energy for other, enjoyable things.

We all know how good it feels to have finally tackled something. However, quick and easy actions such as a thorough tidy of the desk usually only help for a while until new mountains pile up.

It's better to learn the best strategies for doing it right and develop good routines that help you to keep things under control permanently and effortlessly.

My colleague Christoph Schalk and I have developed a course for this: SAM. Mastering your work.

You get two lessons every week

- A tip for mindset and inner attitude

- A strategy for more effective work

Over a period of 12 weeks, you will learn the most important strategies for effective daily planning, relaxed filing and good email management in a relaxed manner. And you have time to make them part of your routine so that they become automatic after a while.

Susanne and Tobias wrote to me about SAM: "I really enjoy the SAM course... the inputs are wonderfully balanced. Not too much and not too little. And just right for me."

"SAM was formative for me, as it brought things back into my consciousness that I had long since ignored or forgotten and I was also able to recognise new connections."

Tips Think about it:

- What one thing can I do right now that will make my work easier overall?

- How much of a burden is ineffective work? What can it cost me to overcome this?

My tip: Treat yourself to SAM and learn the most effective strategies step by step in a relaxed and strategic way.
