It is still challenging

I've just planted strawberries, raspberry bushes and geraniums. I was really pleased. Firstly because I received them as a gift - and gifts are one of my love languages - I'm always happy when I get something as a gift - whether it's a chocolate bar or a contribution to a guest sofa - gifts are really good for my soul.

I'm also pleased that the fruit will take a little pressure off my household budget. That's also sorely needed.

In the last few days, I have once again taken stock. The worst crisis in the publishing house, when we were almost insolvent, is over. But it's still the case that the publishing house and the ship cost me more than they bring in. This is cushioned by the occasional miracle. I partially compensate for this by living quite frugally ... no car, TV ... I only treat myself to organic vegetables ... I have now taken out a subscription for a vegetable box and am looking forward to 7.5 kilos of vegetables per week. That should be enough for smoothies and cooking. I hope so. The one I've decided on, Etepetete, is brilliant because they send vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away because they don't meet any standards.

Nevertheless, it is very exhausting! 

I did the maths today. If I sell around 10,000 items (from postcards to books) in the next few weeks, the situation will be defused.

If I were to succeed, that would mean

  • I can reduce the existing debt
  • I can pay the outstanding and upcoming bills
  • I save around 100 euros a month in overdraft interest and storage costs.

One part of me is tired and discouraged. The other part wants to get to work and find solutions. And I invite you to be part of the solution.

What you can do

Simple

  • Distribute flyers: You can tell me if you would like flyers, leaflets, bookmarks - to distribute in cafes, churches, friends and colleagues. And tell me how many. That would also reduce stock levels.
  • Shopping for you...whether one title or many.
  • Praying...I don't know if this is always easy for everyone, but I'll just put it here. Prayer and blessing are very precious to me. As the previous measures have not been successful enough, I need new solutions. They are always a gift.

Medium

  • Order postcards and impulse cards. We earn almost nothing from them and they fill up our warehouse. Have a look at our Shop um.
  • With Bargain strike and buy a few presents for the coming months.
  • Pass on the publisher's preview. If you order in the shop, please order a stack of the publisher's preview - as many as you like to distribute.

Challenging (maybe)

  • Organise a collective order in your area. Or think about what your friends and acquaintances might be interested in and order a (small) box to sell on (we don't like to do commission, it takes more time and energy than it's worth).
  • Talk about us: Point out our titles in your environment (profession, community, club)
  • Use social media (and other media): Rate our products on social media (e.g. in the shop, on Amazon) and recommend them to your friends.

Crises booklet10,000 units is challenging.

But I have absolutely no desire to suffer from bottlenecks for months on end.

Instead, hope, pray and work that the crisis will be overcome quickly.

By the way, speaking of the crisis: From the impulse booklet „Crises“ I still have more than enough in stock... it's really good and shows very practical steps on how to master crises. You can order it too. And maybe I should read it again.

And yes, contributions to vegetable boxes are still very welcome to keep me afloat.
